For Invited Testers

This build is shared privatelywith a small group of early users. Please don’t post the link publicly — the public version arrives via the Chrome Web Store in a few weeks.

Vol. I · No. 00 · Preview EditionFor the well-acquainted

Install the early edition.

We’re finalising the Chrome Web Store submission. Until that arrives, the extension installs by hand — a friendly procedure that takes about two minutes.

Download the extension (.zip)
Chrome · Edge · Brave · Arc — any Chromium-based browser
The Procedure

Five steps. Two minutes.

  1. i
    Step One

    Download the file

Click here to download the .zipif you haven’t already. It is a small file, roughly 30 KB.

  2. ii
    Step Two

    Unzip the archive

macOS: double-click the downloaded .zip — Finder unpacks it automatically next to the original.

Windows: right-click the .zip Extract All → choose a destination.

Either way you’ll end up with a folder containing a manifest.jsonfile at its root — that’s the one the browser loads.

Note —don’t delete or move this folder after installing. The browser loads the extension directly from it. Keep it somewhere stable, such as ~/Documents/Kooroo/ (Mac) or Documents\Kooroo\ (Windows).

  3. iii
    Step Three

    Open the extensions page

Paste this address into the browser’s URL bar and press Enter:

    chrome://extensions

    Edge → edge://extensions ·  Brave → brave://extensions  ·  Arc → arc://extensions

  4. iv
    Step Four

    Enable Developer mode

Find the Developer mode toggle at the top right of the extensions page and switch it on. Three new buttons reveal themselves: Load unpacked, Pack extension, and Update.

  5. v
    Step Five

    Load the unpacked folder

Click Load unpacked and select the folder from step two — the one containing manifest.json. The Kooroo icon appears in the browser toolbar.

Pin it: click the puzzle-piece icon next to the URL bar, find Koorooin the list, and click the pin. Now it’s one click away on every page.

The extension is installed.

Click the Kooroo icon, open the gear, and add your cards. Then visit a shop and watch it work. Thank you for testing.

Tester Inquiries

On the matter of frequently asked questions.

The browser says “Disable developer-mode extensions.” Is something amiss?
Not at all. The browser is being cautious about sideloaded extensions during early testing. Dismiss the banner with the ×; it reappears each restart. Once we are published in the Chrome Web Store, the banner disappears for good.
May I share the link with friends?
Please don’t — for the moment. This build is shared only with invited testers while we tune things. When the Web Store version arrives in a few weeks, share it widely with our thanks.
Can the build be trusted?
A fair question. The extension reads page URLs, titles, and a snippet of visible text in order to recommend cards. It does not — and cannot — read form fields, passwords, or card numbers. See our privacy notice for the complete record.
How is the extension updated?
Return to this page when a new build is available, download the fresh .zip, replace the unzipped folder in place, then visit chrome://extensions and click the reload icon on the Kooroo card. About fifteen seconds in total.
How is it removed?
Open chrome://extensions and click Remove on the Kooroo card. Your wallet (which lived only in the browser) is wiped at once.
Something is broken. I have feedback to offer.
Splendid — write to brittgivens321@gmail.com. Screenshots are most welcome. Bug reports go directly into the next build.
